So it’s only been 3 years & 9 months since my last post. Okay, maybe I’ve been slacking a little . Okay, maybe I’ve been slacking a lot. But hey, better late than never !
Just the other day, I walked to a little place outside called “Swan Lake Boulevard”. Now when you go to a place with a name like that, obviously you would expect to see a swan or two . Much to my dismay i didn’t get to see even a single swan. On the bright side though, I did get to observe their close relatives : Geese! In astoundingly large numbers I might add .
The view of the icy crisp frozen lake with the geese on it’s surface was absolutely wondrous. At the very beginning of the trail as I embarked on my journey; I decided to stop and take a few pictures on this wooden bridge that stretched out a little bit towards the heart of the lake.

As above, so below

I soon left the bridge only to be confronted with a daunting task . To get the best overall view of the lake you have to climb a winding ice encrusted path, up a small hill . It’s not really that big of a deal, unless your wearing my 4 year old running shoes with virtually no grip at the bottom. Somehow , I made it all the way to the top in the end.
Now, there were times when I actually considered taking off my shoes and walking with just my socks on or even going back because I would keep slipping and sliding and land back at square one.
But in the midst of all the cold enigma and entropy, I couldn’t help but remember the saying “It’s not the destination that matters, it’s the journey.”
