London before Lockdown

The year was 2019. Most of us had never even heard of Covid. Face masks and social distancing were definitely not a thing. On one particular fateful and cold November morning, I was lucky enough to be able to visit the city of London for the very first time.

An Open Letter (Part I) to our grand children from Generation Y

Dearest Grandchildren,
I am composing this letter on behalf of my generation, widely known as the Millennial generation to document the series of rather grim events that unfolded at the start of the year. I will continue the next part of this letter at after a year in a much more positive tone, I hope.

Kayaking in Kuwait

A while back,  I was blessed with the opportunity to go Kayaking in Kuwait. It  was a really fun yet humbling experience.

The temperature must have been around a scorching 45°C (113 °F) , as is the norm for a Kuwaiti Summer.

Spring near Sumeria

Spring is the most beautiful time of the year. It’s that time when the sun is shining, the birding are singing and the flowers are blooming. It brings forth the renewal of life from the harsh cold winter; right before Summer and all those ‘Suns out, Guns out’ posts that plague social media outlets.

Don’t cry Wolf 

An Arabian Grey Wolf

Once upon a time, out in the grasslands of Mongolia, there was a young lady who went by the name of ‘Sarnai’. She was beautiful, intelligent and warm hearted by nature. 

Unlike the other girls in the village who were focused on cooking, knitting and harvesting grain; she was quite fond of canines.
