Another Brick In The Wall

I Remember.

I Remember.

I Remember.

“Man’s mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.”-Oliver Wendell Holmes

I remember it all.
 Not since the day I was born.
 Not from the first instances of my being,
 but from the time I was very small;
 the time I was a mere dumpling. (more…)

The brick in the wall.

It was a cold February night. I was studying downstairs in my hall and I noticed that pink brick in the wall . It was completely different from the other bricks there. And then, all of a sudden , one of my all time favorite songs popped up in my head . It kept playing on and on in my mind and wouldn’t stop.

    .

It’s called  “Another brick in the wall”.This song was released in 1979 and was composed by Roger Walters. What intrigues me the most about this song is the chorus. It goes “we don’t need no education ….” , if you think about it, we don’t need no education  is grammatically incorrect . There’s a double negative present there! So I thought to my self, could it mean that the song was ‘for’ education and ‘not’ against it? I personally feel that the true meaning of this awesome song is that we don’t really need education but knowledge . Knowledge to help us stand up and triumph against figures of authority and others who oppose our will to live by the ideals we choose and love! Here’s the original version .Enjoy =) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpxd3pZAVHI
